Adapting to the Changes and Planning Future Adventures

03/31/2020

We’re all living in unprecedented times with the current spread of COVID-19. Here at Highline Adventures, we work hard to keep our staff, our community, and our families safe, as well as yours. We understand and encourage the current government recommendations about limiting nonessential travel. We will continue to take guidance from the CDC about business operations to benefit everyone’s health and flatten the curve.

Current Changes

Because of the recommendations, we will be implementing the following changes at our properties.

  • The Western Heritage Inn will close on April 1 until June 1.
  • The Ramada Bozeman is open.
  • The Super 8 Gardiner is open.
  • The Travelodge Lodge Gardiner is closed until June 1 (delaying our seasonal opening one month, as we usually open May 1).
  • The Timbers is closed until May 1 (this is our normal season closure).
  • The Bozeman Trail Campground is open as of April 1.

At the properties that remain open, we will continue to implement best practices for health and cleanliness for the safety of our guests and our staff. We trust that we’ll get through this together as a community.

While travel far from home is not possible or advisable at this time, we know that people value access to the outdoors now more than ever. We’re hopeful that people will come to explore our wide-open places once things settle down, and we’ll be here waiting when our doors can open again.

Outdoors Going Digital

By following government stay-at-home orders and recommendations on social distancing, we are confident that our country will pull out of this crisis. So join us in planning summer travels and looking ahead to brighter times. Outlining future fun is a great way to spend some extended time holed up at home. Check out our Instagram for continuing Montana travel inspiration, and join us on Facebook to find an outdoor community online.

Here are a few of the summer activities to look forward to in Montana. Adventure awaits!

Paradise Valley

Livingston and beyond is an artist’s happy place, home to many writers, painters, and creatives who draw inspiration from the Old West vibes at the north end of the Paradise Valley. You never know if you’ll spot a true cowboy or a film star in one of the town’s famous bars, and good food and culture are perfectly at home here.

Bozeman

Bozeman may be a bustling metropolis by Montana standards, but this mountain town holds the outdoors close to its heart. With access to dining and culture, along with an easy connection to Yellowstone and Big Sky, not to mention hot springs and hiking trails, Bozeman is a destination in its own right.

Gardiner

As the gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Gardiner’s small-town charm comes with big views and ample opportunities for wildlife sightings. You never know when you’ll see a herd of bison or elk wandering down the street, and those are the kind of traffic jams to expect and embrace. You can’t find better access to the wilds of the nation’s first national park.

Bigfork

Located at the northeast corner of Flathead Lake (the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi), the town of Bigfork embodies the vocabulary of quaint and charm. This town makes an ideal jumping-off point for visits to Glacier National Park, with plenty to do outside the park.

So, as you plan your next adventure in Montana, we look forward to helping you have an unforgettable time and see the Big Sky Country in all its glory. 'Til then, we'll see you here and on social media.
