Take advantage of your free guest passes to Poipu Beach Athletic Club (PBAC) which are included with the rental. PBAC features pools, a fitness center, classes, and a poolside bar and restaurant – perfect for cooling off, grabbing a meal, and letting kids play. Sea turtles and Hawaiian monk seals often rest at Poipu Beach, known for some of the best snorkeling in the area. Shipwreck Beach and the lithified cliffs above offer a beautiful walk.
This is a private oasis in the center of the action. Enjoy morning coffee on the upper deck or a cool drink at the tiki bar under the deck. Live music is often next door at Kalapaki Joe’s. Brennecke’s and Poipu Beach offer great sunset spots to watch sea turtles and seals. Be sure to stop at Costco, Safeway, or Walmart in Lihue on your way from the airport, as Poipu shopping is limited.
We recycle plastics (#1 and #2 shaped like bottles), aluminum, tin, glass, paper, and cardboard. A large solar array with Tesla battery backup provides about 50% of the electricity and powers the house during outages. Energy-efficient mini-splits provide A/C, and we encourage guests to turn them off when leaving. LED bulbs are used throughout.
The location offers easy walking access to beaches, sea life, restaurants, and bars. Complimentary Poipu Beach Athletic Club access is just half a mile away. Shopping is within a five-minute drive or a 10-minute walk. Guests enjoy convenient access to Spouting Horn and Waimea Canyon.
