This year, we will be planting native plant species on the grounds; we will also be upgrading our onsite vegetable garden and providing community events for our guests and our Silver Bow County/Butte neighbors. Volunteer opportunities include:
Joining us on planting days for the native plant species.
Assisting us with ongoing planting, weeding and caretaking of our vegetable garden - including harvesting.
- Volunteering your time and expertise in gardening, ecology, environmental activism, local paths, trails and adventures - we'd love locals to come on our property and let our guests know about this amazing community!
Ex. Half hour demonstrations - our local Boy Scout Troop comes on property and does a flag ceremony and hands out Eco Cards on environmentally friendly camping practices
We have a local weaver who will be joining us this year for a weaving session - adults and children welcome - suggested donation to the artisan $10 session with a take home item!
Several students from Montana Tech with earth restoration projects will be joining us this year in discussing Butte Conservation and Restoration projects of importance in the area - including the Butte KOA endeavors!
